CANdo
A community action group, working with tenby10 partners to achieve the tenby10 goal.
If you have any questions about tenby10 or have ideas for the project, the CANdo group will do their best to follow them up. Please post your ideas on this wall or talk to an official CANdo Member. The following people have volunteered their time to be on the official CANdo Group and are your community reps. They currently include: Melanie Prior, Mick Dillon, Mona Wilson, Lucy Evans, Trevor Werfel, Elin Mezzino, Anne Franks, Angela Smallacombe, Geof Keane, Anne Mathews and Michelle Grieg, Peter Arnold and Maulika Amin.
The official Group meets on the first Monday of each month with tenby10 partners to discuss tenby10 related issues raised to them by the community and from their observations.
Twins Club
Connecting twins, twin parents, carers and friends. Share your twin 'moments', photos and handy hints, tips for raising twins, living with a twin and being a twin! Having 2 babies at once, you may have some twin tenby10 tips!! We want to know about them, the funny, the ups, the downs and the bizzare. We can all learn from each other.
Nyrstar Employee Group
This group is for Nyrstar employees and their families to share news and information relating to Nyrstar.
Feel free to start discussions, post comments or relay whats happening onsite.
This can consist of upcoming events, ten by 10 tips, safety issues, health information, recipes....anything really.
Community Lead
The purpose of this group is to comment, compare, confer and compile tips and snippets, links and things that can minimise or help eliminate lead exposure at home.
Lead is sneaky stuff and has the ability to get in anywhere. It can assume an alias and mimic other biologically important metals, most notably calcium, iron and zinc.
In the words of John Cleese from the infamous Dead Parrot Sketch; lets make community lead dead, rest in peace, demised, deceased, no more, passed on, bereft of life, stiff, pushing up the daisies, kicked the bucket, off the twig, not pinin', gone to meet 'is maker, ceased to be, shuffled off 'is mortal coil, expired, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible so that its metabolic processes are now 'istory!

To foster and encourage people to grow and flower their orchids. To assist with cultural advice relevant to the upper Spencer gulf.

Port Pirie Expats
How many of us grew up or worked in Port Pirie but have moved on, but still maintain some sort of link to the place and/or still call it home? We are still Port Pirie proud and want the best for the city, its children and the city's reputation.
Port Pirie Expats is a way to connect with people from Port Pirie and the good old days and good times, (however long ago that is for you), spread the tenby10 message to wherever you're living now, and share stories, issues and photos online.

To create friendship through gardening and to promote interest and provide information about gardening in general, through guest speakers specialising in their chosen plants.

Go Green for tenby10
By doing some green things around your home you can minimise dust movement and thereby reduce your exposure to lead dust. Simple things like planting, mulching your garden and Wetting down.
"Virtual PACYAC"
This is supported by Port Pirie Regional Council and we are trying a new way of communicating with young people all over Pirie and the Region who are between 12 and 25.
We want this to be an interactive group to 'have a say' about local and global issues- also what can be done about them.
We want your suggestions on how young people can be more actively involved in the community eg: youth week.
We will have online forums, surveys and competitions. This is your community how can you make it better?
Tarpari Wellbeing Day
Wednesday 14th April will see Memorial Park in Port Pirie come alive in a celebration focusing on health, education and Aboriginal culture. The Tarpari Wellbeing Day will commence at 10am and will be crammed packed full of activities and attractions until 2.30pm.
