In a unique, world leading partnership, the Port Pirie Regional Council, Department of Health, Environment Protection Authority, Nyrstar Smelter and the community are working together to find a solution to the lead issue Our goal is to lower children's blood lead levels to below the World Health Organisation standard of 10 micrograms per decilitre of blood by the end of 2010. Because what was acceptable in the past is no longer acceptable.
